The team destroys Roshan together and signals Ember Spirit to pick up the Aegis of the Immortal that is dropped by Roshan. His team comprised of Snapfire, Axe, Morphling, and Magnus, are ready to take down Roshan to claim Aegis of the Immortal for themselves. In this Dota WTF video, you can find Ember Spirit taking charge of his team while fighting Roshan in the game. Roshan rewards people who defeat him with Aegis of the Immortal. ![]() It can take all 5 of your team members to fight and defeat Roshan in battle. The ancient neutral, Roshan, rests in his pit just across the river from the mid lane. Everything else is really scraped out while communities and content producers have been slowly removing themselves for years.Fighting Roshan can be a do-or-die situation for most players in Dota 2. What do we have really? There's reddit-only memes and a couple of community figures (most of them caught up in scandals), there's the DotA2 pros in the far distance with their club twitter drama and then TI. Reddit stays and gives the false illusion of a strong community, but the Watafak and other community efforts was traded away for a quick buck. I in reality Watafak and similar videos/forums was a pretty massive thing back in the day worldwide. We look SUPER STRONG AND UNIFIED here on our little pretend reddit corner, but that hardly represents the real DotA demographic or reach. ![]() The Watafak creator sold the channel to some lazy fuck that cares more about avoiding work while getting a passive income than he does about DotA or the community that the watafak channel has fostered.Īs a side topic, stuff like this is also why the DotA community feels so 'hollow'. Sadly this almost always drastically lowers the quality of the content though. ![]() Especially if you're in a country where every youtube dollar is valued more readability and focusīuying YouTube channels with an audience and then mimicking the original content is a very nice way to avoid having to grind at a boring menial wageslave job. I felt more outrage than sadness at their demise, because nobody was realising the simple truth, and you could plainly see in the comments who was their fucking target audience with that shit.Įdit- long sentences be hard and opaque. It was all too much for me after a while. Instead they went the other worse(t?) route, all the while cringe-loving, probably furry-ass motherloving kids in the comments went ‘the editor needs a raise’. The essence of that channel was showing outstanding clips from Dota 2, for the Dota 2 community to enjoy and appreciate, as a nice aside for why the game is so beautiful. That’s not what I come to your channel for. I mean, I would go and watch game cutscenes and animated films instead if that’s what I wanted, fucking dimwits. Wholly unnecessary and high-cringe, as in high-cuisine, if you catch my drift. ![]() This was especially true for every rampage clip at the end. What really broke it for me was the unnecessary vfx and heavy editing to make it as (in their fucking heads atleast) cinematic and game cutscene-like as possible. The longer ads, endorsements for shitty mobile games and shady 3rd party dota ‘support’ providers was all fine, till the time the content was great- noob mistakes, innovative plays and skilled stuff all rolled up into an entertaining package through memes, clever editing (yes, being from the film industry myself, I did appreciate the effort once upon a time), mostly decent electronic music and occasionally annoying sound effects (i.e. I used to love that channel and looked forward to the next drop till about a couple of years back.
